This is a one-day interactive course which examines Motor Trade Insurance and the cover and risks associated.

Course Objectives   at the end of the course delegates will be able to:

  • Explain the different types of Motor Trade risks
  • Describe the cover and extensions given under Motor Trade policies
  • Understand how Underwriters calculate Motor Trade premiums
  • Have a greater understanding of the Motor Trade market

Topics covered and examined during the session

  • The different types of Motor Trade risks and their respective cover requirements. This will include both motor and non-motor covers
  • Cover and extensions necessary for the most common types of Motor Trader
  • The features which make Motor Trade insurance differ from policies covering individual vehicles
  • The different methods employed by underwriters to calculate Motor Trade premiums
  • A look at the most effective methods of presenting risks to underwriters
  • The purpose of MID and how it affects members of the Motor Trade with special regard to temporary vehicles and customers’ vehicles

Who should attend

Those who are new to this type of insurance although it will also be useful for those who work in sales, underwriting or claims and want to expand or refresh their knowledge in this particular type of insurance
